GeoArm has released the Alula BAT-FIRE universal dual-path commercial fire communicator.
GeoArm has just released the all new Alula BAT-FIRE universal dual-path IP/cellular commercial fire alarm communicators in both the AT&T and Verizon 5G LTE-M models to the DIY business security market.
The Alula BAT-FIRE-ATT and BAT-FIRE-VZ are universal dual-path internet/cellular AT&T/Verizon 5G LTE-M commercial fire alarm communicator(s). The BAT-FIRE communicator connects to an intrusion or fire alarm control panel (FACP) and provides central station alarm reporting.
The BAT-FIRE can be configured to provide dual-path connectivity using Ethernet/broadband and cell or single-path connectivity using either Ethernet/broadband or cell to Bosch Conettix D6100IPv6 receivers at the central station. The BAT-FIRE allows system integrators to save money, maximize install flexibility and skip the 4G cellular sunset.
It provides two PSTN interfaces for the FACP/burg panel’s DACT phone line connections. The BAT-Fire’s DACT phone interface connection provides phone line voltage, dial tone, ringback tone and all required CID protocol signaling. The BAT-FIRE receives CID events from the FACP/burg panel’s DACT and then relays the CID events to the GeoArm central station receiver.
The BAT-FIRE-ATT provides inputs that can be used to monitor an FACP’s alarm, AC fail, and trouble points (dry contact outputs). In this topology BAT-Fire inputs will be connected to the FACP points (dry contact outputs). The communicator will continually monitor the state of the FACP points (dry contact outputs). A state change on a BAT-FIRE-ATT monitored FACP point (dry contact output) will be reported to the GeoArm central station.
Product Features:
Supports 12V and 24V regulated FACPs/burg panels
Alarm capture via phone line interface or standard FACP/burg panel points
Supports Contact ID (CID) reporting format
Dual Path: Ethernet (primary) with Cellular AT&T/Verizon 5G LTE-M (backup)
Sole Path: Ethernet or Cellular AT&T 5G LTE-M
Platform visibility through AlulaConnect™
Trouble event detection and reporting
Four programmable input/output ports
At-a-glance system status via front-panel LEDs
UL 864 10th edition commercial fire certification
ULC-S559 commercial fire certification
UL 1610 commercial burg certification
ULC-S304 commercial burg certification (Security Level II installations)

GeoArm and Resideo Partner with CellBounce for AT&T 3G-to-LTE Customer Conversions.
GeoArm and Resideo have partnered with CellBounce to help address the AT&T 3G Sunset on 2/22/2022. The security industry is facing a major challenge: As cellular carriers begin to retire their 3G networks, existing AT&T 3G GSM Communicators will no longer be able to connect to a carrier network. CellBounce has developed technology, specifically designed to keep Resideo AlarmNet 3G GSM devices connected beyond the current 3G sunset of 2/22/22.
The CellBounce (model number: CB34UDRES01A) provides a seamless AT&T 3G GSM to LTE connection between an existing Resideo AT&T 3G GSM Communicator and AT&T LTE network. CellBounce is simple to activate and can be installed easily by the end-user by plugging it into an electrical outlet within 25 feet of their current communicator. CellBounce eliminates the need for a truck roll / technician to visit each site to upgrade or modify the existing device. When installed CellBounce establishes a conversion of the existing Resideo AT&T 3G GSM Communicator signals on the new LTE service. Service functionality of the AT&T network is maintained with the CellBounce unit.
Product Features:
Plug-and-play 3G to LTE conversion
Keep AT&T 3G devices connected past the sunset
Designed for quick and easy end-user installation
Easy provisioning via AlarmNet 360™
No truck roll needed
Doesn’t require technicians entering homes and business

GeoArm and M2M partner for discount PRO and DIY alarm monitoring services.
GeoArm, a leading provider of no-term contract security, automation and smart home solutions serving residential and business customers in the United States, today announced the addition of M2M products and services to its website offerings.
Together, GeoArm and M2M are paving the path to switch away from the traditional overpriced alarm company. With universal compatibility, the do-it-yourselfer can easily add the M2M alarm communicator into most commercial fire alarm and burglary intrusion panels already installed in existing homes and businesses. Whether a consumer has a DSC PowerSeries, Honeywell Home VISTA-Series, GE Interlogix NetworX NX-Series or other takeover control panel that supports Contact ID, SIA and Pulse 4+2, the M2M line of alarm communicators are a great choice for low-cost nationwide alarm monitoring.
“We are thrilled to add M2M solutions into our brand’s portfolio of products and services that our customers have to choose from in advance of the cellular radio sunset dates set to take place in the first quarter of 2022,” said Joe Rosenthal, President and CEO of GeoArm. With the impending sunset of cellular 3G/4G AT&T network beginning first in the month of February 2022, and the cellular 3G/4G Verizon network slated to shutdown later next year in Dec. 31, 2022, it was important for users to find a low-priced, future proof, cellular 5G LTE module that offered maximum network longevity.
The M2M product line of alarm communicators can be installed in a matter of minutes by simply landing just two-wires on the circuit board and anyone can do it. “Because these alarm communicators are low-voltage and run off the control panel’s battery, there is absolutely no need to hire an expensive professional to get them hooked up,” said Rafael Alvarez, Technical Manager of GeoArm. Just sit back and watch the appropriate how to installation video found on GeoArm’s YouTube page, that illustrates the steps to follow that will make the M2M communicator setup a breeze.
Best of all the M2M’s RControl app gives GeoArm customers the ability to interact with their compatible burglar intrusion panel for no additional monthly charge. The end user can remotely download the RControl app on any Android or iOS device to arm/disarm the security system in “away mode” when they are not home during the day, and also have the ability to arm it in “stay mode” when they are home at night. The app allows for real-time push and email notifications for multiple end users and devices per account so that all family members and business managers are on guard. Also, there is an admin portal that allows for 24/7 device management and real-time status monitoring of all accounts with 12 months of event history stored for use at a later time. To ensure the M2M communicator works when it matters most, the modules are designed with supervised connectivity that includes polling in 10 minute intervals for exceptional reliability.
Once installed into an existing compatible alarm system, the M2M communicator will transmit alarm systems data to either GeoArm’s central station and/or directly to the end user in the event of an alarm initiating event. With both do-it-yourself and professionally trained operator alarm monitoring services offered by GeoArm starting at $8 a month for burglary intrusion security systems, and $30 a month for commercial fire alarm systems, homes and businesses can finally lower that costly alarm bill and start enjoying the monthly savings.

If you are currently a monitored NextAlarm customer with IP service and wish to continue alarm monitoring services we recommend going with the M2M wireless alarm communicator as an alternative as it will be hosted on either the AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile LTE cellular towers.
The M2M alarm communicator itself is only around $70 and holds a no-term contract monthly alarm monitoring rate of $13/month. With the M2M wireless alarm communicator, GeoArm can apply this to just about any alarm system that has been used with NextAlarm.
Cellular alarm communicators are a much more reliable means of communicating alarm signals from your alarm system back to the central alarm monitoring station.
The reason why is if an intruder before breaking in cuts your power meter box or internet lines, your alarm system will still be able to transmit signals to the receivers unlike the internet “aka IP” communications.
The M2M wireless alarm communicator is amazing for anyone looking to have very inexpensive alarm monitoring services for both home and business security.
It has come to our attention from callers that after many years of providing alarm monitoring service via the internet, NextAlarm will be canceling this service.
The last day they will provide alarm signal delivery via the internet will be June 30, 2020. They also stated that if you have pre-paid for service that extends past June 30, 2020, NextAlarm must be notified by May 29, 2020, and they will arrange for a refund of any months after June 2020.
NextAlarm in their email to customers didn’t clearly state their intentions with current cellular-based customers, but have no fear because GeoArm is here.

As you all know United Technologies announced that Interlogix after all these years is closing their doors at the end of 2019. Alarm.com a few days later sent us a confirmation email that they would still provide Alarm.com compatible communications devices for monitoring abilities. In addition, Alarm.com announced it will continue to support the product lines for dealer tech support.
This is big news for anyone who has an Interlogix such as a Concord, NX Series or Simon security system. This news confirms that the Interlogix systems life span has been extended at least up until LTE cellular modules are phased out. After LTE cellular communicators are phased out well down the line we are not sure what will happen from there or what communication modules will support the monitoring of Interlogix!
What we do know is that end-users that have Interlogix will still be able to enjoy Alarm.com monitoring services, remote app control with the Alarm.com interactive app, Z-Wave home automation control, Amazon Alexa / Google Home / Apple Siri voice control and Alarm.com compatible IP security camera abilities for quite some time.
Here is an example email that Alarm.com is sending to its dealer’s.
United Technologies recently announced that they are winding down their Interlogix security business in the U.S. and Canada, but they will continue to manufacture and sell through the end of the year.
Alarm.com will continue to support all Interlogix panels currently installed, as well as all new installations going forward. Our services will continue to work seamlessly on the lineup of Interlogix panels we support, now and into the future. Also, we will continue to manufacture Interlogix LTE upgrade modules.
