Alula CAM-DB-HS2-AI newest 2K video doorbell camera is available for purchase at GeoArm.

Alula has released it’s all-new video doorbell camera designed for DIY business and home security. The Alula CAM-DB-HS2-AI is an 2K HD WiFi video doorbell camera for the Connect+ control panel or BAT-Connect.

The Alula CAM-DB-HS2-AI video doorbell camera features 2K HD video and 16 feet of night vision. Using the Alula Video Doorbell customers will be able to view real-time footage and recorded clips of activity at their doorstep.

The Video Doorbell can be used as a stand alone video surveillance system or as part of a more holistic security and automation system when paired with Alula’s Connect+ or BAT-Connect (BAT-CONNECT-A and BAT-CONNECT-V model numbers). It also has two way audio functionality, enabling interaction with visitors at the front door through the Alula Smart Security App or the Slimline Touchpad PRO control interface.

Qolsys Releases IQ Lockdown Electromagnetic Door Lock

Qolsys adds the HL1-CNT-001-LDZ Electromagnetic Door Lock for commercial business protection.

Johnson Controls releases IQ Wireless PowerG enabled Photobeams

Johnson Controls (JCI) has released the IQ Photobeams for PowerG enabled security panels.

GeoArm has just released the all new Johnson Controls IQ Photobeams for the DIY commercial business and home security markets. The photoelectric outdoor beam detectors come with built-in PowerG wireless range in two different coverage areas. The IQ Photobeams can be purchased with a short range of 200 ft. (PG9200AX) or long range of 350 ft. (PG9350SL) of outdoor detection.

With a IP55/IP65 dust-tight and weatherproof enclosure you can protect your outdoor perimeter with market leading Active Infrared Technology (Photoelectric beams) detection. The IQ Photobeams have reliable performance with twin (PG9200AX) and quad (PG9350SL) beams. And, a cover and wall tamper provide protection against deliberate tampering.

Alula Adds CAM-OD-HS2-A1 Outdoor Bullet Security Camera

Alula’s new product introduction of the CAM-OD-HS2-A1 expands line of DIY security cameras.

GeoArm has released the brand new Alula outdoor bullet smart security camera (part number: CAM-OD-HS2-A1) with two-way audio to the do-it-yourself business and home security markets. The Alula outdoor camera features full 1080P HD video, motion detection and 90 feet of night vision.

It also provides real-time viewing and recorded clips via the Alula app. Using the app, you can set up notifications that will alert you when suspicious motion activity is detected. It can be used as a stand alone video surveillance system or as part of a more holistic security and automation system when paired with Alula’s Connect+ security system or BAT-Connect communicator.

This product replaces the previous generation outdoor bullet camera, RE701.

Resideo is Discontinuing the LYNX L3000 and L7000 control panels

The Resideo LYNX Plus L3000 and LYNX Touch L7000 panels are being discontinued.

At GeoArm, we have just received notice from Resideo Pro (formerly “Honeywell Home”) that the older LYNX Plus L3000 and LYNX Touch L7000 wireless control panels are being discontinued from new sales as of April 18, 2022 (or while supplies last).

More recently, Resideo has released the all-new ProSeries platform, with two self-contained offerings, the PROA7 and PROA7PLUS, along with the SiX sensor portfolio and LTE communicators. This ProSeries platform will act as the replacement moving forward.

Customers who still have a L3000 or L7000 panel have the full protection of the Resideo warranty.

AlarmNet and Total Connect 2.0 Global Outage has been fully restored!

The AlarmNet network experienced a brief 12 hours of downtime between 3/13/22 to 3/14/22.

Resideo’s AlarmNet and Total Connect 2.0 interactive app services experienced a global outage on 3/13/22 starting at approximately 9 PM ET.

Some conspiracy theorists out there thought it was a ransomware attack. Well it turns out that you can now take a deep breath, as Resideo strongly denied those claims. It seems the reason for the outage is quite embarrassingly simple, it had to do with their environmental system.

Total Connect 2.0 has now been fully restored within about 12 hours or so of it initially going down. GeoArm has confirmed at approximately 2:30 PM ET (on 3/14/22) that both Apple iOS and Android devices are now able to successfully connect again. Resideo has confirmed that Total Connect 2.0 is restored as well.

For most GeoArm customers, you do not need to do anything at all. However, we have found upon restoral for some panels, such as the LYNX Touch WiFi that they are not successfully reconnecting. If applicable, in most cases all you have to do is reboot the panel. If this does not work than go back through the WiFi settings and rejoin your network.
