Buy Inexpensive W-Box Wireless Security Products (319, 345 and 433 MHz)

Sleek and stylish, the W Box Technologies wireless mini door/window contacts and wireless pet-immune motion detectors are manufactured with 319 MHz, 345 MHz, or 433 MHz wireless frequency.

W Box wireless door and window alarm contacts are used as part of a security system to help protect a home or business. They are small devices that are typically installed on doors and windows. When the door or window is closed, the two parts of the contact are together, creating a circuit. When the door or window is opened, the circuit is broken, and the alarm system is triggered. This sends a signal to the control panel, which can then alert the homeowner or security company. These devices are wireless, meaning they don’t require any physical connection to the control panel, making them easier to install and less intrusive. They can be particularly useful in helping to detect unauthorized entry or potential break-ins.

W Box wireless motion detectors are used to detect movement within a certain area. They are typically part of a security system and are used to alert the system when unexpected motion is detected. This could be in a home, office, or any other space that requires security. The detectors work by using infrared technology to sense movement and heat, so if an intruder were to pass by the detector, it would sense the movement and heat of the person and trigger the alarm.

Not only are W Box products inexpensive, they are compatible with most existing 2GIG, Honeywell, DSC, GE, ITI, and Qolsys wireless security systems. With exceptional range and over five years of battery life, powered by a lithium battery, these security products are designed for low maintenance.

Honeywell’s HW-AV-LTE-M CLSS Pathway Commercial Fire Alarm Communicator

The Honeywell HW-AV-LTE-M dual-path commercial fire alarm communicator is now available.

The Honeywell HW-AV-LTE-M Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) Dual-Path LTE Communicator with dial-capture interface for commercial building fire alarm monitoring has been released on GeoArm.

The HW-AV-LTE-M is a commercial fire dual-path (internet and cellular multi-band AT&T/Verizon LTE) alarm communicator designed for universally compatible fire alarm panels. The CLSS Pathway combines dial capture functionality with the powerful capabilities of Honeywell’s CLSS Cloud. It represents the latest alarm communications technology for the fire industry. The CLSS Pathway allows data transmission by utilizing LTE CAT-M1 networks, serving as a bridge between the fire system and the CLSS Cloud. This device provides a single site-to-cloud path ensuring all CLSS Cloud services use the same audited and monitored method to access the on-premises life safety system.

The CLSS Pathway is commissioned via the CLSS mobile app and CLSS Site Manager interface, which also allow for additional remote visibility. Connection and mounting is simplified using the enclosure kit. The CLSS Pathway is compatible with any fire alarm dialer using Contact ID format and automatically recognizes the format when powered up. Any number can be programmed into the panel phone numbers. Installers can select the central station service they wish to use from a list of approved central station providers.

Equipped with dual SIM cards, the CLSS Pathway supports both AT&T and Verizon networks. When first powered on, the communicator selects the strongest signal. If either path is not available, the device provides redundant paths for the cellular signal. The HW-AV-LTE-M dual-path communicator transmits signals to the AlarmNet Control Center (via the internet or AT&T/Verizon cellular LTE network), which in turn routes signals to the GeoArm central station. If the Internet and AT&T or Verizon LTE networks are all unavailable (fail), the message will not be sent using this HW-AV-LTE-M communicator.

Honeywell CLSS is an innovative, all-in-one cloud platform that enables systems integrators and facilities managers to deliver an enhanced fire safety service, while maximizing the performance efficiencies offered by Honeywell’s trusted detection and alarm systems.

The CLSS platform enables users to;

  • Universal Panel Compatibility – Dial capture interface supporting Contact ID
  • Get a “bird’s eye” view of all accounts
  • Obtain real-time information on event generation, enabling diagnosis before dispatch
  • Conduct tests and inspections using a mobile app (available in select markets)
  • Provide end users with multi-site asset information and event alerts
  • Integration with CLSS enables monitoring of event transmission data & management of device inventory from the CLSS mobile app and web portal (available only when using point-based reporting)
  • Meets UL 864 requirements for sole primary or backup path communications
  • High reliability due to multiple transmission channels (LTE CAT-M1/LAN) and redundant servers
  • Four supervised inputs for non-dialer panels
  • Unique “M1” Network is 5G ready, providing deep signal penetration that allows operation within buildings
  • Remote firmware updates
  • CLSS mobile app supports push and email notifications
  • Monitors event transmission data & manages device inventory from the CLSS mobile app and web portal
  • Exceptional Redundancy – Dual-SIM device picks the strongest signal from AT&T or Verizon. If one network becomes unavailable, the communicator connects to the other network
  • Powered directly by a 24-volt DC fire alarm power supply. No need for additional batteries, transformer, or power supply
  • Connection monitoring – adjustable fault reporting time as low as 20 seconds
  • Web-based software and smartphone app for device configuration and administration

Resideo Communication Failure Update – LTE-CFV, HWF2V-COM, LTE-IV, LTE-L3V, VISTA-21IPLTE

Resideo has discovered an anomaly that can lead to a communication failure in the following communicators: LTE-CFV, HWF2V-COM, LTE-IV, LTE-L3V, Vista-21IPLTE

This anomaly may cause the SIM card in the device to become locked and may lead to reports of communication failures. We have reports that certain communicators may have experienced this issue between March 19 and March 28, 2022.  Additionally, devices that are set to 30-day check in that are not communicating can be confirmed with your sales representative (even if you have not yet received a communication failure message).

Devices that are set up using IP and Cellular paths may have reported a secondary path failure instead of a communications failure.  Once the issue occurs with a communicator, it will not recommence communications absent you are following the procedures below.

Resideo’s AlarmNet 360 has reported communication failures as identified on the chart above.

How to determine if your device is affected?

Devices that are affected by this anomaly will show the following symptoms:

A. Locally on the device:

LEDs on the device will flash regularly at a rate of two times per second.

B. On AlarmNet 360:

Devices performed normal check in procedures (QOS) for a period leading up to March 19, 2022.  Beginning on March 19 through March 28, 2022, certain units stopped communicating and reported a communication failure as identified on the chart above.

Correction procedures?

Devices that are affected by this issue must be corrected by replacing the SIM card.  SIM cards will be available to order using the SKU SIMKITV beginning on April 7 as needed.  Customers may also contact the GeoArm or Resideo Sales (800-645-7492) team to arrange for shipment of SIMs .

Procedures for replacing the SIMS will be included in the SIMKITV, we have also posted the procedures at this link: SIM Card Replacement

Resideo is confident that the anomaly that led to this issue is corrected and will not occur again after replacing the SIM Card.

Resideo is Discontinuing the LYNX L3000 and L7000 control panels

The Resideo LYNX Plus L3000 and LYNX Touch L7000 panels are being discontinued.

At GeoArm, we have just received notice from Resideo Pro (formerly “Honeywell Home”) that the older LYNX Plus L3000 and LYNX Touch L7000 wireless control panels are being discontinued from new sales as of April 18, 2022 (or while supplies last).

More recently, Resideo has released the all-new ProSeries platform, with two self-contained offerings, the PROA7 and PROA7PLUS, along with the SiX sensor portfolio and LTE communicators. This ProSeries platform will act as the replacement moving forward.

Customers who still have a L3000 or L7000 panel have the full protection of the Resideo warranty.

AlarmNet and Total Connect 2.0 Global Outage has been fully restored!

The AlarmNet network experienced a brief 12 hours of downtime between 3/13/22 to 3/14/22.

Resideo’s AlarmNet and Total Connect 2.0 interactive app services experienced a global outage on 3/13/22 starting at approximately 9 PM ET.

Some conspiracy theorists out there thought it was a ransomware attack. Well it turns out that you can now take a deep breath, as Resideo strongly denied those claims. It seems the reason for the outage is quite embarrassingly simple, it had to do with their environmental system.

Total Connect 2.0 has now been fully restored within about 12 hours or so of it initially going down. GeoArm has confirmed at approximately 2:30 PM ET (on 3/14/22) that both Apple iOS and Android devices are now able to successfully connect again. Resideo has confirmed that Total Connect 2.0 is restored as well.

For most GeoArm customers, you do not need to do anything at all. However, we have found upon restoral for some panels, such as the LYNX Touch WiFi that they are not successfully reconnecting. If applicable, in most cases all you have to do is reboot the panel. If this does not work than go back through the WiFi settings and rejoin your network.
