Qolsys IQ4 Hub Panel Has Been Released by GeoArm

The Qolsys IQ4 Hub (from Johnson Controls) all-in-one wireless 7″ touchscreen smart security system with automation has been released to the DIY security marketplace. The affordable IQ4 Hub contains a built-in Alarm.com dual-path wifi/cellular Verizon LTE communicator and either a S-Line/legacy 319.5 MHz wireless receiver, legacy 345 MHz, legacy 433 MHz or PowerG receiver and all the bells and whistles.

The IQ4 Hub also includes other key features such as; Bluetooth, Z-Wave 800-Series automation module, smash and grab reporting. It features a SmartMount system, all internal antennas and an easy on-screen installation wizard. With a built-in front speaker the IQ4 Hub allows for 85dB piezo audible siren to alert nearby individuals of an alarm initiating event. It has a dual panel and wall tamper with spring release and smash and grab reporting. Additionally, the panel has a single wake/sleep button for added user convenience.

The touchscreen panel also includes Live View which is the ability to view Alarm.com video cameras on the screen, and Live Answer. Live Answer give the user the ability to answer their Alarm.com video doorbell from the IQ4 Hub inside the property, such as the Alarm.com ADC-VDB770 touchless video doorbell. Live Answer will also work with Live View cameras that have voice capability, such as the Alarm.com ADC-V515 indoor security camera. Releasing the M2M Services MiNi-LTE-M-AV for Low-Cost Monitoring with Z-Wave Automation

GeoArm has released the all-new M2M Services MiNi-LTE-M-AV residential burglary intrusion alarm communicator with Z-Wave automation to the DIY security market.

The M2M Services MiNi-LTE-M-AV cellular dual-SIM 5G AT&T/Verizon universal alarm communicator with Z-Wave automation for use with most existing burglary intrusion systems is available at GeoArm.

The MINI-LTE-M-AV communicator is compatible with most existing dial-capture interface burglary intrusion control panels (DSC, Honeywell and GE Interlogix NX-Series). Introducing the DSC PowerSeries Pro Touchscreen Alarm Keypads (by Johnson Controls)

GeoArm adds the DSC PowerSeries Pro Touchscreen Hardwired Keypads for professional security.

The DSC HS2TCHPRO (in white color) and HS2TCHPROBLK (in black color) hardwired alarm keypads are now available at GeoArm Security. Having an easy-to-use 7″ touchscreen, these high-tech professional alarm keypads are compatible with DSC PowerSeries Pro line of security systems.

The PowerSeries Pro touchscreen keypads com equipped with proximity support and are expandable up to 248 total zones (with built-in PowerG wireless transceiver). The touchscreen keypad is easy to install and simple to program with a user-friendly interface packaged in a low-profile white case that easily blends into any décor.

The keypad has been designed with the user and installer in mind. For the user, menu driven, intuitive screens with large buttons make programming very easy to configure desired options. For example, to access the Fire, Medical, Panic keys, users just press the EMERGENCY button on the sidebar. LED status lights on the bottom of the frame provide a quick visual check on the security system. Programming of labels is made simple through the ‘QWERTY’ keypad. The installer will also have the ability to do installer programming from virtual keypad, as well directly through the keypad.

Building from the default or optional displays, the installer can quickly configure five of the graphical icons from over 10 options, depending on the user’s needs. With up to 32 partitions available, the keypad offers the benefits of a multi-partition control panel without changing the control panel and lets each partition zone act independently from the rest of the system.

The display can be easily customized for the user. For example if the user doesn’t want to see partitions but wants to turn the chimes on and off, simply hide/display the appropriate icons. The clutter-free home screen can be easily modified later by the installer through password-protected setting menus.

The background of the home screen can be easily customized by the installer to display company logos, contact information, pictures, etc. The integrated digital picture frame gives homeowners the flexibility to display photos as a single photo or a timed slideshow or default background screen. Just insert an updated standard SD card into the SD slot and follow the onscreen prompts, similar to other “off-the-shelf” digital picture frames.

Resideo Communication Failure Update – LTE-CFV, HWF2V-COM, LTE-IV, LTE-L3V, VISTA-21IPLTE

Resideo has discovered an anomaly that can lead to a communication failure in the following communicators: LTE-CFV, HWF2V-COM, LTE-IV, LTE-L3V, Vista-21IPLTE. 

This anomaly may cause the SIM card in the device to become locked and may lead to reports of communication failures. We have reports that certain communicators may have experienced this issue between March 19 and March 28, 2022.  Additionally, devices that are set to 30-day check in that are not communicating can be confirmed with your sales representative (even if you have not yet received a communication failure message). 

Devices that are set up using IP and Cellular paths may have reported a secondary path failure instead of a communications failure.  Once the issue occurs with a communicator, it will not recommence communications absent you are following the procedures below.

Resideo’s AlarmNet 360 has reported communication failures as identified on the chart above.

How to determine if your device is affected?

Devices that are affected by this anomaly will show the following symptoms:

A. Locally on the device:

LEDs on the device will flash regularly at a rate of two times per second.

B. On AlarmNet 360:

Devices performed normal check in procedures (QOS) for a period leading up to March 19, 2022.  Beginning on March 19 through March 28, 2022, certain units stopped communicating and reported a communication failure as identified on the chart above. 

Correction procedures?

Devices that are affected by this issue must be corrected by replacing the SIM card.  SIM cards will be available to order using the SKU SIMKITV beginning on April 7 as needed.  Customers may also contact the GeoArm or Resideo Sales (800-645-7492) team to arrange for shipment of SIMs .

Resideo is confident that the anomaly that led to this issue is corrected and will not occur again after replacing the SIM Card.

Johnson Controls (JCI) has released the IQ Photobeams for PowerG enabled security panels.

GeoArm has just released the all new Johnson Controls IQ Photobeams for the DIY commercial business and home security markets. The photoelectric outdoor beam detectors come with built-in PowerG wireless range in two different coverage areas. The IQ Photobeams can be purchased with a short range of 200 ft. Alula Adds CAM-OD-HS2-A1 Outdoor Bullet Security Camera

Alula’s new product introduction of the CAM-OD-HS2-A1 expands line of DIY security cameras.

GeoArm has released the brand new Alula outdoor bullet smart security camera (part number: CAM-OD-HS2-A1) with two-way audio to the do-it-yourself business and home security markets. The Alula outdoor camera features full 1080P HD video, motion detection and 90 feet of night vision.

It also provides real-time viewing and recorded clips via the Alula app. Using the app, you can set up notifications that will alert you when suspicious motion activity is detected.
